Ooty, April 2004

I drove up to Ooty via Mysore and Bandipura for a short holiday with my family. About 325 kms from Bangalore. April 17th to 19th we were at Red Hill resorts about 25 kms from Ooty. Plenty of bird life. Check out http://www.indianjungle.com/redhill/resorts.htm

The Mukurthi range is a must for any nature lover! Quite refreshing I must say. Be sure to get proper entry permission at Ooty to avoid confusion at the entry points.

On the way back we spent a night at the new "Jungle Lodges" at Bandipur. Harsha who is now working for Jungle Lodges as a naturalist was most helpful. http://www.junglelodges.com/
