I have posted a topic on pragati nagar lake already, but probably there isn't enough space to hold the long message I wrote, so I am continuing here and writing in a brief manner. The other species I 've seen here are black winged stilts20-30 in number, red wattled lapwing;1, Little stint;3, Black headed gulls;5, River terns;20-30,Pied king fisher;1,Blue eared kingfisher;2resident,Dusky crag martin;10,barn swallows;10,wire tailed swallows20-30.I believe some swallows have their nests under the bridge. Other species I have seen here ,also in considerable numbers are streaked fantail warbler, pied wagtail, yellow wagtail, Small bee eater, Ashy prinia, Common tailor bird, Indian robin and the house sparrow. This is a wonderful place. The very first day I went there I was rewarded with a wonderful sight. At around 5:30 p.m in the evening all the great cormorants slipped off into the water one by one and flew off gracefully into the setting sun in along wavy line.A beutiful place, those who can visit it please do!
